EnSilica UK is a leading fabless designer of application specific integrated circuits (ASIC) for OEMs and system houses. The company has world-class expertise in supplying custom analog, mixed signal and digital integrated circuits to its international customers in the automotive, industrial, healthcare and consumer markets.

CHALLENGE

EnSilica was looking to reposition part of its business as part of a long-term strategy but did not have the appropriate capital structure to fund the project.

We engaged with EnSilica’s management team to understand the nature of the business, their specific funding needs and their working capital requirements to support growth. We condensed management information into a concise and compelling lender presentation pack, while analysing the modelled cash flow forecasts to determine the right level of funding required.

OUTCOME

With our support, EnSilica secured an eight-year fixed rate loan facility through Caple, which is totally unsecured and does not require any equity dilution. This provided optimal capital support for EnSilica’s business strategy which includes developing new products and to continue with its recruitment plans.
