Cheltenham-based engineering company Omega Engineering Services Limited (‘OES’) has been acquired by US company Belcan, a global supplier of engineering, supply chain, technical recruiting, and information technology (IT) services to the aerospace, defence, automotive, industrial, and government services markets.

OES is an established leader in the UK in the testing and development of control equipment for use in the aerospace and industrial sectors offering tailor-made flexible service contracts covering design, sourcing, purchasing, supply, calibration, and delivery of test and other equipment. The company also provides high-quality hardware and software engineering solutions to some of the biggest names in safety-critical industries.

The deal was advised by Bristol based Shaw & Co and led by Myles Hamilton who commented: "It was great to secure another sale to a major US trade buyer soon after the sale of Cloud Savings Company to Groupon."

"
Interest in UK companies from international buyers remains strong and this deal further demonstrates our ability to access the key US market. "
