Sam is an Executive supporting M&A and business funding transactions.

He joined Shaw & Co in October 2024 from BT where he was a Commercial Finance Manager providing financial, commercial and strategic analysis and advice on commercial propositions and complex bids.

‍

Prior to his role at BT, he worked at BDO where he was a Business Assurance Assistant Manager, gaining diverse industry experience while serving listed and SME clients across the financial services, professional services, retail, logistics, manufacturing and charity sectors.

‍

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Sam has a BSc in Economics from the University of Plymouth.

‍

At Shaw & Co, Sam's M&A support focuses on buying and selling businesses and helps with the preparation of investment papers, reviewing and building accompanying financial models and conducting market research to identify buyers, sellers and comparable transactions. His business funding support includes preparing funding proposals and financial modelling.

When away from the office, Sam keeps busy by cycling, swimming and learning Spanish.
